Our just dance performing\watching

In our class we did just dance performances I was doing it with Rio we watched.If you read my blogs you would know what I am talking about.We were doing it on Thursday. Me and Rio were doing the projector we had to turn on the songs set it up and pause it and all that kind of stuff. I was shutting the screen the most because that's my job.

We started with the song:Timber. Some of them were funny and some were great and some were cool. I enjoyed watching the all dances. I brang my costume scroll to the bottom to see the costuime 

Menus

This week we made menus we made good ones and bad ones. I enjoyed the bad ones best because they didn't make me hungry
like the good ones. We made the menus as our quick writes. I added in the bad one foods i don't like and I tried to discourage the people who look at it. 

My good menu made me hungry. And I added my favorite foods i did the snacks the dinners and the desserts. On the bad menu it was hard to choose the desserts because all the desserts are really good.

My menu was enjoyable to create. and i really recommend it just for fun/or to teachers.Mine looks like this

#GetNZWriting

Before lockdown we started this thing
called #GetNZWriting.You get paired
up with another school in NZ. We got
paired up with one from Auckland called
Kauri park school. 

Today we got in a circle and our
teacher passed out some postcards and
we all quickly remembered what they were
for. We read ours and then we got to
choose if we wanted to share what they
say or not. Some were pretty gnarly and
some were funny.

The one I got said something like this: 

Like every awesome year
We visited the yum pie shop

We drive on the busy high road

I remember my mum with me 

Then the car crashed into a tree.
The post cards had writing on the back.
It was a puzzle we put together the puzzle
and it said a blur so we got 3D glasses.
They were cool. 

Just Dance

Just Dance 

Last friday we ran Just Dance for discovery
with my friends Josie Esther Rio and myself
Ella. We had to learn to set up the projector
(which was really hard). We got to go up to
the stage and change the song. We had to get
the little kids to listen and that was hard,
but we got there in the end.

The first dance was: Waka waka 4 players. Then
my favorite:Timber 2 players. I do timber with
my friends sometimes Esther does it with me or
Rio or Josie. When it is over we got to give out
shine cards (which are little cards that give
your house a point).

We did about 7 just dances. There were a lot of
little kids there and they were very cute. We
gave shine cards out to people who showed
respect, responsibility and resilience. Im am
excited.I really recommend Just Dance

The Lockdown

The lockdown 

On the 25th of March school stopped and we went into lockdown. It was pretty scary. No work for mums, no work for kids ,no work for dad ,no leaving home. Then in a couple weeks into the lock down we started to do learning from home. It was pretty cool we would have google meets every day and have fun tasks to do at home.

We went into the lockdown because of COVID19. We did learn from home because if we didn't do learning from home we would forget all the stuff we learnt be for lockdown.Then we would have learnt nothing. It was a bit challenging fitting all the meets in.

It went well but sometimes my mum got scary. 

I felt like I could wear my pyjamas all day because we can't leave the house. So that's what I did.

Hi I'm Ella and I'm a year 5 girl at wainui beach school and I just did swimming sports yesterday. 


Year 5 girls  come and line up for your first race,freestyle Charlotte, Kale'a, but I can't remember who else did it.

Back at school for 2020

First day back

My first day back at school was a blast.  MLH is so fun. We did such fun things like we did a fun game to find who our buzz groups are (buzz groups are groups we do activities in like tension ).We do quick writes every day and our first topic is chocolate vs cheese Tell me in the comments which one you would prefer and why.  We play people bingo and every thing. I love my new class !!!!!!!!!!!!!
